Before/After Preschool Hours Care (Garderie)
Child care is available outside preschool hours, i.e. from 8am to 9am and from 4pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday during school terms, as well as during school holidays. There is an additional cost for Garderie hours.
The objectives of the Garderie Programme are:
- To provide children with a safe, caring and stimulating environment;
- To complement and support the French Preschool Program;
- To provide an environment where children can foster close relationships with their peers.
We aim to do this by providing play experiences that are based on individual children’s interests, strengths and needs. Although the Garderie program is not in French, it supports the French program by using some French word such as numbers, colours, week days, songs, stories, etc. Other cultures representing the Preschool’s community are also supported through singing, telling stories, counting, simple words and sentences in their home languages.
All permanent Garderie bookings/changes need to be done in writing by emailing [email protected]. Two weeks notice is needed to change a permanent Garderie booking.
Casual bookings are also available; they must be made at least 4 working hours in advance to ensure we are able to maintain our staff/children ratio. Please call the office on 02 6295 0621 or email [email protected] to make a casual Garderie booking.
