Our Educators
The Preschool aims to employ suitably qualified persons who are committed to the education and care of children.
The Association aims to employ qualified teachers with relevant expertise at the "maternelle" level in the French Education System and all our educators have, or are currently completing, Australian early childhood education and care qualifications (Diploma in Children Services, Certificate 3 in child care or above).
The Preschool endeavours for all staff employed in the French Preschool Program to speak French, where possible. The Preschool has been able to create a pool of relief staff who are on hand to come and replace perment staff when required. For the most part, these are men and women who have been working at the FAPS for a long time and are known to the children. This is very important in providing continuity of care for the children even when regular staff are away sick, on training or on leave.
